Efficient Removal of Fine Materials from Aggregate Samples

The LA-0797 Aggregate Washer is designed to simplify and standardize the washing of soil and aggregate samples by efficiently separating fines smaller than 75μm (No. 200 sieve size) from larger particles. Its controlled rotating action provides thorough sample agitation while minimizing the labor and variability associated with manual washing methods.

Water is delivered directly into the rotating stainless steel drum through an adjustable flexible nozzle, ensuring continuous rinsing throughout the washing process. As material is cleaned, overflow water is directed toward a No. 200 sieve (sold separately) to retain larger aggregate particles and prevent material loss. When the discharge water becomes clear, the sample has been adequately washed and is ready for further testing.
