Sample Processing
Forney has a complete selection of aggregate washers and wet washing sieves that allow you to clean aggregate samples and remove fine aggregates from coarse aggregate samples. Depending on your needs, we have several different aggregate washers available.
For example, our small tabletop aggregate washer has a stainless steel drum measuring 9” x 10.75” and it can process samples up to eight pounds. This device is perfect for removing clay and other fine materials from a coarse aggregate sample. It includes a permanent water connection and a six-foot GFCI plug. For added convenience, this model can also be used as a vacuum pycnometer if you attach Forney’s vacuum lid (which is sold separately).
We also offer large tabletop aggregate washers that gently agitate a sample while feeding water into the bucket to remove fine materials. This machine can process samples up to 15 pounds, and the drum measures 12” x 13”.
In addition, you’ll find a wide variety of wet washing sieves in our inventory. We offer sieves in four-inch and eight-inch heights, and we have reinforced and unreinforced options available. No matter which one you choose, these wet washing sieves include No. 200 mesh to allow fine aggregates to wash through. We even offer a miniature sieve measuring 2” x 3” with No. 325 mesh, replacement wet washing water spray attachments, and more!
