Curing

Concrete curing is a crucial step that ensures your concrete maintains the proper amount of moisture and heat. If you cure your concrete correctly, it will have enhanced strength, durability, volume stability, and freeze/thaw resistance. Properly cured concrete is also quite resistant to abrasions and scaling. You’ll want to cure your concrete as soon as you place and finish it — but to do so, you’ll need the right equipment.

If you’re going to cure concrete, you’ll need a top-quality concrete curing box. Here at Forney, we have six different models of concrete curing boxes to suit a wide variety of needs and applications. Our most basic model is the Perfa-Cure waterless, heat-only curing box. This thermostatically controlled curing box can hold 50 4-inch by 8-inch cylinder molds or 12 6-inch by 12-inch molds. This model is an excellent option for curing concrete in the fall and winter months, and it comes with a 165-quart Grizzly hard-sided cooler and continuous circulation fan.

Are you looking for a more fully featured model? The Thermocure heating and cooling curing box can keep your concrete at the perfect temperature regardless of the weather conditions. It holds 22 6-inch diameter cylinders or 46 4-inch cylinders, and the 14-gauge stainless steel bottom rack keeps water circulating for consistent curing. This model comes with a bottom valve for fast draining, and the locking lid is even bear-proof!

We also carry a complete inventory of concrete curing tanks ranging from 100 gallons to 300 gallons, made of either galvanized steel or polypropylene food-grade plastic. If you need a concrete curing temperature chart, circulating pump, fogger with humidistat, weather meter, or humidifan, Forney has all of these items and more as well!
