Vibro-Deairator performs reliable, mechanical agitation of vacuum pycnometers for the asphalt Rice test. It is also a useful de-airing agitator for specific gravity tests of fine aggregates (ASTM C128) and soils (ASTM D854), as well as sample preconditioning per ASTM D4867 and AASHTO T 283.
It has a built-in 0–99 min. digital timer with ±0.25 second accuracy. The shaker features a mounted front control panel with a vibration speed controller and three-position switch for manual or timed operation. Variable speed settings closely control agitation to avoid stripping of asphalt. The painted steel case has non-slip rubber feet, so no mounting is required.
The clamp system quickly secures pycnometers or flasks to the machine and is easy to use; push the buttons, slide into place and, a quick twist secures the container.
