Binder Testing
The MSCR test for asphalt binder is a variant of the creep and recovery test to analyze the asphalt’s ability to resist deformation. This is currently the most accurate form of asphalt binder testing available, and Forney has all of the tools and accessories you need to perform MSCR tests for asphalt binders! We provide asphalt content furnaces and accessories to help you determine the asphalt content of a sample quickly and conveniently. Our top-of-the-line asphalt content furnace has a ceramic filter to reduce emissions by up to 95%. It also compensates for weight changes due to temperature changes automatically. This device can compute the asphalt content of a bituminous paving mixture within 0.11%, and you can adjust the endpoint sensitivity from 0.01% up to 0.5%. You can even set the 24-hour timer to preheat the furnace.
