Used to measure strain in masonry type materials, structural components under load, structural cracks, relative structural displacements, rock mechanics and drying shrinkage of concrete block. Consists of annodized aluminum alloy frame with master settings for 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 inch (5.1, 10.2, 15.2, 20.3 and 25.4 cm), and dial indicator with range of 0.3 in (7.62 mm) x 0.0001 in (0.0025 mm) graduations.

Set includes strain gauge, dial indicator, 8 brass inserts, 2 contact seats, 2 contact points, invar bar, punch bar and case.

Meets ASTM C426 BS 1881:206.
