Forney Beer Mug - Concrete Cylinder Debris Sleeve, 6 x12 inch

Exclusive to us, the Forney Beer Mug is a unique device designed to facilitate safe preparation, loading, and disposal of concrete specimens.

The technician prepares the cylinder specimen for testing by loading the retainers, pad caps, and cylinder into the Beer Mug. Using the Beer Mug's handle, the prepared specimen is guided into the testing machine. The Centering Device (sold separately) stops the specimen in the center of the testing machine's lower platen.

The cylinder specimen is tested to failure while the technician views the test and break through the Beer Mug's see-through Lexan® sleeve. The sleeve retains the broken specimen, and the entire unit is then removed from the testing machine, and the debris is easily disposed of in a suitable waste container.

When used with the Forney SpeedLoader and Centering Device, it becomes part of a high-production system that can significantly increase your lab's productivity.

For greater efficiency, the use of multiple Beer Mugs allows the next specimen preparation while the first is being tested. This allows immediate loading of subsequent specimens as the first specimen is pulled from the testing machine. This process creates an efficient production cycle that dramatically reduces the time per test.

Since the Beer Mug retains the debris after the specimen is broken, the machine's fragment guards may be left open.
