Impact shock detection (ISD) that visualizes what degree of impact shock is detrimental to the balance and allows users to take preventive measures as necessary--cushioning under the weighing pan mitigates impact shocks. Also features protection against vertical and transverse static overloading.

Flow rate display (FRD) makes calculating and recording flow rates easier and more accurate and a flow rate comparator indicates whether the flow rate is within the designated limits3

Auto precision assessment (APA) and minimum weight calculation uses electronically controlled load (ECL)*2. After making a quick diagnosis of whether there is a critical failure, the balance indicates the standard deviation (i.e. repeatability)-- in only 1.5 minutes.

Density measurements; Density determination function (optional density determination kit available for the 0.001 g models). Scales have underhook for weighing a magnetic material as well as measuring density.

RS-232C and USB interfaces are standard. The USB interface can toggle between the Quick USB mode (plug-and-play with weighing data output to a PC only) and the Virtual COM mode (for bi-directional communication, the driver can be downloaded from the A&D website) with internal settings. A USB cable is included.
