Basic Liquid Limit Device without a counter or motor
Used to determine the moisture content at which clay soils pass from plastic to liquid state. Turning a crank, which uses a cam, lifts the brass cup to the required height and drops to the hard rubber base. An adjustable sliding holder sets the height of the drop from a thumb screw in the back.
Removable brass cup or easy cleaning and inspection.
Meets ASTM D4318, AASHTO T89, AASHTO T90 Standards
Includes ASTM grooving tool and gauge block.
