Soil Dispersion Mixer Kit - Includes ASTM Cup and Paddle, 120 Vac

The Forney LA-3770 Soil Dispersion Mixer is used to prepare soil samples for hydrometer analysis by thoroughly dispersing soil particles in suspension. The mixer combines a specialized dispersion blade with a baffled dispersion cup to promote consistent sample mixing in accordance with applicable soil testing procedures.

The unit is powered by a 1/3 hp motor with three selectable speed settings: low, medium, and high. The low-speed setting satisfies the minimum 10,000 rpm no-load speed requirement referenced in AASHTO T 88, ASTM D7928, and ASTM D422. A manual pulse switch is also included for added operator control during sample preparation.

Built for repeated laboratory use, the LA-3770 features a heavy die-cast aluminum housing and a durable spindle assembly. The mixer includes a baffled dispersion cup with four sets of internal baffles, as required by applicable test methods.
