Easy to read, designed for rugged use by non-technical field personnel to assess need for shoring of excavation sidewalls. Based on OSHA soil classifications. Scale reads directly in tons/sq ft or kg/sq m. Scale range is 0 to 4.5 tons (4082 kg). Instrument comes with operating instructions and carry case. Does not replace laboratory testing or field analysis and is not suitable for design work.
