Permeameters - Sand Gravel

Measures coefficient of permeability by constant head method for laminar flow of water through granular soils. Available in five sizes. Distance between manometer ports is same as diameter. Permeameters feature two manometer ports that are grooved and screened (No.100) on the inside. Screens prevent migration of material through valves and tubing. End caps and clamping ring are anodized aluminum. Chambers come with valves, choice of porous stones or perforated screens and tubing for water, vacuum and manometer. Top cap force spring applies 5-10 lbs (2.3 – 4.5kg) pressure against top stone or screen to prevent soil density changes during the test. Manometer Tube Stands are available for most permeameters. Two stand types available: wall mounted (LA-3643-14) or free standing (LA-3643-15). Free standing unit features a large base plate for countertop stability.
