Used to determine the resistivity of soil in the field or in the lab by using a clear plastic soil box with inside dimensions of 2.5 in x 1.5 in x 9 in (63.5 x 36 x 229 mm). Test indicates corrosion potential for buried structures in soil.
Meter measures resistivity of soil or water. Meter has wide range 0.01 to 1.1 megaohm in 8 ranges with 10% overlap. Meter is temperature stabilized and insensitive to AC or DC ground current. Comes with 12 V battery and shoulder strap. 2.5 in x 9 in x 1.5 in (63.5 x 228.5 x 38 mm). Current plates are stainless steel. Potential pins are brass. Box dimensions eliminate need for calculations. Order soil box and leads separately - set of 4, are 24 in (609.6 mm) long.
