Dead Weight Direct/Residual Shear with two Metric Dial Indicators, 220V

Shear unit utilizes dead weight loading system with 10:1 vertical load beam. Digital readout measures shear forces. The vertical and shear displacement is measured with dial indicators in 12.7mm (. 0.5 inch) range with .0025 mm ( .0001 inch) resolution and  25.4 x .025mm (1.0 in x 0.001 in) resolution.

Optional four channel readout (Model LA-3732-01).

Unit includes RS232 serial output cable for sending data to computer.

Unit includes drainage plates and water chamber. Maximum shear displacement is 20.3mm (0.8 in). Maximum vertical load and horizontal shear force is 680 kg  (1,500 lb) each. Travel is set with limit switches. Motor drive controls strain rate within 1%, set with digital thumb wheels. Each digit represents .00254 mm/min (0.0001 in/min) strain rate and can be controlled from 0.00254 x 7.62 mm/min (.0.0001 in to 0.3 in/min). Loading and shear box assembly mounted on a sturdy steel cabinet.

Upright rods are stainless steel and cabinet has enamel finish. Water chamber is aluminum with anodized/ teflon finish for corrosion resistance.

Overall height is 137 cm  (54 in). Cabinet height is 228.6 mm ( 9 in). Length is 91.4 cm (36 in). Depth is 36.8 cm (14.5 in).

Electrical requirements are 220V, 60Hz, 1ph.
