Hand Auger Set with S-Head, T-Handle Extension with Connector, Reg. Solid

FORNEY's hand auger is designed for use in dry granular soils; the head is specifically constructed to retain disturbed sand samples. The hand operated auger requires minimum effort to drill shallow holes in fine grained soils.

The LA-3940 Hand Auger Kit includes the most popular auger components:

• 3 1/4 inch (8.26 cm) regular auger head
• T handle
• 36 inch (91.4 cm) extension.

Two ¼ inch (6.4 mm) safety pins are used to join the components together to provide a solid, positive connection.

All components are heavy duty steel construction, zinc plated for rust resistance; the auger blades are hardened and fully welded to the head so they won't bend or separate.

A 3¼ inch (8.26 cm) window auger head for sampling clay or heavy wet soil can be purchased separately.
