Used to determine the heat of hydration of cements by measuring the difference between the heat of solution of dry cement and the heat of solution of a separate sample partially hydrated for 7 to 28 days.
The unit includes an insulated wood case, insulated one-gallon (3.8 L) can, one-pint (0.47L) vacuum jar with stopper, differential thermometer with holder, rod and reading magnifier, funnel, stirring paddle and chuck, geared synchronous motor and 4 oz (118 mL) of Vinylite paint.
Meets ASTM C186 BS 4550, 1370, EN 196-8.
