Strain

Strain

To test the strain level in a sample of cement, you will want to use a high-quality strain gauge. Once you’ve attached the strain gauges to your cement, you can use electromagnets to vibrate the tensioned wire that runs from one flange to the other. Then, you can test how much vibration there is, which will tell you how much strain there is within the cement structure.

Forney sells a wide variety of analog and digital strain gauge products suitable for all strain gauge applications. In addition to the actual strain gauges, we have a comprehensive selection of accessories and tools to help you perform the most accurate strain tests possible. We offer contact seats that you can attach to the frame of your strain gauges, punch bars to designate where you’ll insert the brass inserts that hold up the contact seats, contact points made of hardened steel, and a variety of dial indicators for analog and digital strain gauges.
