Flexwall Chamber, 4 In (101.6 mm) Diameter Sample Capacity

Chambers are designed for flexwall permeability testing of soil samples. LA-3663 can test samples up to 4.0 in (101.6 mm) diameter, but comes with 2.8 in (71 mm) diameter sample cap, pedestal, sealing O-rings and porous stones. LA-3664 comes with 6.0 in (152.34 mm) diameter sample cap, pedestal, sealing O-rings and porous stones. Other size cap and pedestals available. A version with stainless fittisns is available.

Each chamber rated to 150 psi maximum. All aluminum parts are anodized for corrosion resistance. Valves are Whitey and fittings are Swagelok. Standard chamber has brass valves and fittings.

Sample caps are acrylic, each has two drain ports and a groove for sealing membrane. Top cap has quick connect fittings (finger tighten - no wrench) for ease of assembly. The chamber top has quick connect for venting while filling with water and for quick draining. Pedestal has flow-through lines and is keyed to prevent tube turning and pinching during installation. All pedestals are interchangeable. LA-3663 is 6.5 in x 8.25 in x 12.5 in high (165 x 209.5 x 317.5mm)

Accessories include specimen height indicator to indicate changes in height during permeability testing. Height changes can be measured with scale or Vernier caliper.
