The FORNEY Automatic Soil Processor dramatically reduces the time and labor required to prepare soil samples for Proctor and other moisture/density relationship tests in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards. Ideal for processing fat clays, lean clays, and wet soils, this pneumatically operated system transforms what was once a tedious, manual task into a fast, hands-free operation—no special training required.

With the ability to process up to 40 lb (18 kg) of cohesive soil in just 15 minutes, the processor frees up technicians to focus on more productive tasks. Simply load your soil onto the replaceable No. 4 screen, close the weighted lid, and flip the switch. The vertical force of the lid, combined with the lateral movement of the screen tray, breaks down the sample without grinding—preserving particle integrity throughout the process.

The unit automatically shuts off when the lid is within 1/4 in (6 mm) of the screen, signaling that the cycle is complete. The integrated air hose makes cleanup quick and easy by blasting the screen clean. Plus, extra pans and screen inserts in different mesh sizes are available to support high-volume or varied testing operations.

Convenient storage within the cabinet keeps additional pans organized and close at hand.
