Muffle furnaces are used for ignition, gravimetric and volatile matter tests. Also used for cements, soils and aggregate tests. Extra high temperature ovens can be used for exotic metals and ceramics.

• Open coil heating elements on both sides of chamber assure fast heat-up, with minimum temperature gradient.
• The rear of the chamber incorporates a 3/8 in (0.95°cm) diameter port for injecting special atmospheres or monitoring chamber temperature with independent measuring device.
• Built-in venting system removes undesirable contaminants and moisture, extending the life of heating elements and unit.
• Basic automatic digital control holds accurately at one temperature.
• Single digit display indicates chamber temperature. (Other control packages available.)
• Safety switch disconnects power to heating elements when the door is opened during operation.
• Open circuit safety triggers break protection and removes power to heating elements eliminating run-away conditions.
