Rolling Thin Film Oven (RTFO), 230 V/60 Hz/1 Ph

Used to measure the effect of heat and air on a moving film of semi-solid asphaltic materials. The effects of this treatment are determined from measurements of the properties of the asphalt before and after the test.

The method indicates the approximate change in properties of asphalt during conventional hot-mixing at approximately 302°F (150°C) as indicated by viscosity measurements. The end result is a residue that approximates the asphalt condition as incorporated in the pavement.

Maximum temperature 390°F (200°C), digital temperature control, over temperature protection, removable 8-bottle carousel for easy cleaning, stainless steel interior and leveling legs.
