Giatec RCON™ Bulk Electrical Resistivity Testing - Complete Package - 115/230V

RCON™ is an advanced non-destructive laboratory tool for measuring the bulk electrical resistivity of concrete at various ages following (ASTM C1876, AASHTO TP 119, and CSA A23.2:19).

The device is:

• Fast: measurement time is less than 5 seconds
• Accurate: utilizes a variable frequency method
• Flexible: measurements can be taken with different settings for verification

No additional sample preparations are required before testing. RCON allows for continuous measurement of electrical resistivity over time, which can be used to assess concrete’s ability to resist chloride penetration, and to monitor important durability parameters of concrete, such as cracking, moisture transfer, and setting time in concrete specimens.

As part of the ForneyVault® ecosystem, the RCON connects directly to a ForneyVault-enabled testing machine, bringing valuable concrete durability data into the cylinder testing workflow.

Resistance measurements can be captured and associated with the corresponding cylinder test record, allowing resistivity results to be reported alongside compressive strength data.

By combining strength and durability data within a single test record, laboratories gain a more complete view of concrete quality, performance, and long-term durability.
