Soil Compaction Mold, Split, 4 Inch

Split Moisture Density Molds have the same features as our standard molds but are split longitudinally for easy sample removal; standard molds require the use of a sample ejector to remove specimens. All Proctor molds have detachable extension collar and base plate. The molds are plated to resist corrosion. Two threaded hold-down studs with quick release wing nuts secure the molds to the base plate.

4 inch mold (LA-3001) meets ASTM D558, D559, D560, D1557, D1558, AASHTO T 99, T 134, T 135, T 180.
