Triaxial Test Chamber, 4 in (101.6 mm) Diameter, Stainless

Design features heavy-wall clear acrylic chambers. Circular base provides solid support and prevents tipping. All aluminum parts are anodized to resist corrosion. Chamber spacing accommodates displacement transducers. Sample caps and stones included. Aluminum caps feature 2 drain ports and machined groove for membrane seal. Top cap has stainless steel quick disconnect fittings to allow easy set-up. Piston is ground and polished stainless steel sealed with internal lubed u-cup noted for low breakaway friction (2/10 lb at 100 psi chamber pressure). Piston lock and dial indicator support bracket included. Stainless steel Thompson linear ball bearings guide piston with minimal friction. Top piston housing is adjustable for easy piston-to-top cap alignment.

Accessory Pressure Transducer can be mounted to test chamber. Pore pressure is readable on one or both ends of sample. De-airing is easy.

Standard valves and fittings are made of brass. Optional stainless steel models (-SS) feature Teflon tubing and stainless steel fittings and valves. Design features zero volume change Whitey ball valves and Swagelok brand fittings.

Model LA-3673 is designed for triaxial and permeability testing of samples to 4.0 in (101.6 mm) dia. Chamber is 1/2 in thick x 6.0 in dia x 12 in long (12.7 x 152.4 x 304.8 mm). Caps are 4 in (101.6 mm) diameter. Dimensions are 8 in x 10 in x 25 in high (203 x 254 x 635 mm). Chamber rated to 200 psi. Model LA-3673-SS. Has 3/4 in (19 mm) diameter stainless steel piston.

Height with piston extended is 29 in (736.6 mm). Width is 12 in X 16 in (304.8 x 406.4 mm)
