Bench is designed for convenience when determining specific gravity of aggregates, hardened concrete, bituminous mixtures, and other materials where sample or containers are to be suspended in water. Bench top is 31 x 25 in. with three 2 inch diameter holes for suspension of samples and thermometer. Lower shelf may be set for tanks either 18 or 24 inches deep. Bench height is 48 inches.
Order heavy-duty, seamless polyethylene water tanks separately: 30 gal capacity (18 inch depth) and 40 gal capacity (24 inch depth) available. You may prefer the 40 gal tank for ASTM D2041, AASHTO T 209 or similar tests.
Tank walls are 1/4 inch thick with a drain faucet and an overflow outlet. The maximum operating temperature is 140°F (60°C). The stainless steel wire specific gravity cradle reliably supports specimens having a variety of shapes.
Note: Any scale or balance which has weigh-below capability can be used with this bench. Shipped disassembled.
