Molds
Testing concrete often requires molds to prepare samples in various shapes and sizes. At Forney, we have a vast selection of single-use cylinder molds and steel molds for concrete to suit your concrete testing needs. For instance, we offer many different styles of concrete beam molds that enable you to easily test the concrete’s tensile strength.
By far, the most popular size of beam mold is our 6-inch by 6-inch option, which we offer in 20, 21, 22, 24, 30, and 36-inch lengths. You can also choose from hinged beam molds or hinge-free versions. Most of these are steel molds for concrete, but we offer a plastic version as well. Forney also sells metric beam molds that measure 10 cm x 10 cm x 40 cm.
If you’re looking for single-use cylinder molds, we have plenty of those to choose from as well. Some of these mold cylinders are quite affordable, like our 80-pack of 3” x 6” plastic cylinder molds for just $86. In addition to various sizes of cylinder molds, we also offer a broad selection of lids and perpendicular verification devices.
Of course, if you use any form of concrete mold, you will also need a quick strip mold stripper that allows you to efficiently and safely remove plastic molds from concrete cylinders. We have two different quick strip options available in 6-inch by 12-inch and 4-inch by 8-inch sizes. We even sell the Forney Power Stripper, a convenient hand-held device that allows you to strip molds away from cylinders without needing to mount your quick strip device on a workbench.
